Windows 741
Microsoft from time to time sends me offers and deals that I like to share with my clients, prospects and readers. In a initiative to move more copies of Windows 7 and add extra excitement around the launch of Windows 7, Microsoft created a campaign called Windows 741 (pronounced Windows 7 for one).
The Windows 741 campaign targets students in college, and universities and gives them an oppertunity to purchase a full copy of Windows 7 for $29.99. Thats less than you will end up paying, in most cases, for one new textbook! You can either select an upgrade, or full edition copy of either Windows 7 Home Premium, or Windows 7 Professional. You can also choose whether you want the 32-bit or 64-bit edition of the software! If you are interested in this offer and are having difficulty deciding which version to choose, you can contact me at JZepp@infosource.net as I would be more than happy to help reccomend the proper version of Windows 7 depending on your needs.
In addition to the Windows 7 offer, Microsoft also is running a similar campaign for Office 2007. You can purchase Office 2007 Ultimate as a student for $59.95. Thats a 91% discount off of MSRP! You have to hurry however as this offer will not last forever. The Windows 7 offer expires January 3, 2010 at 12:01 CST. There hasnt been any talk as of yet to the expiration of the Office 2007 Ultimate offering, although I wouldnt wait if I were you.
In addition to the offer to get both Windows 7 and Office 2007 both for under $100.00, Microsoft has put up some great content for you to enjoy on the Windows 741 website. Such content includes guest appearances from both Brian and Stewie Griffin from Fox Television’s Family Guy in a short comical skit introducing Windows 741, videos posted by students that actually are using Windows 7, but most importantly helpful links for students to get started using Windows 7! Theres something for everyone there at the site, so I highly encourage checking it out!
If your interested in the offers, I’ve listed them bellow with links that you can follow that take you stright to the page to order. Again if you have any questions, feel free to send me an e-mail or click on the Contact link along the top of the page and fill out the short form.
Hope this helps some of you out there!
