Going to Camp
Some of you may have seen that I would be attending WordCamp in New York, NY this wekeend on my main page. Well, I am here writing to you today from Baruch College at WordCamp NYC 2009! Here at the event, both developers and bloggers in the New York City area working with WordPress unite to talk about their blogs, ask questions on how to improve their blogs, develop solutions for bloggers, and network with each other. With over 50 speakers, 8 session tracks, and more than 10 sponsers at this event, its no wonder that this event has brought in over 600 attendees!
As I mentioned, there are 8 session tracks at this event: Newbie, Blogger, CMS Application, Begining Developer, Advanced Developer, BuddyPress, Open Source Community, and Academic. Because of the diversity this event brings, it doesn’t matter if you are just starting out with WordPress or just interested, if you are an application developer, or even if you are in charge of running a web site at a local privately owned school, this event has something for everyone! I will be attending the Blogger session track representing Acxsis, the company I own and operate. If you are in the New York City area and are sick of the sight outside (currently its rainy and overcast here), I highly encourage you to stop by! For those who are interested you can go here to find out more about this event. There is a cost to register at the door, I believe its $45 USD, but Im not sure if that includes both days.
I look forward to seeing you if you should attend!
